Youghal Community Peer Project 2.62

We have recently had a name change to our project. From The Youghal Men's Peer Project to The Youghal Community Peer Project. Our project was set up first day to support the men in our community, to provide a safe and caring environment where we could all just be. No judgement, no form filling or box ticking just friendship and support around all aspects of life. Our model is simple, we always start where people are at and work from there.
Our main goal was to always be autonomous, and although we have had offers to join other groups we have stuck to our original goal of autonomy. Everyone has a say, everyone is heard, everyone chips in, has fun and everyone has ownership. No organisation or government body has a say in what we do or how we do it and it will always stay that way. We work voluntary and love our work :) . Our project was designed to shift, evolve and belong to the community. Those calling to the project has shifted over time, from the very young to the not so young, both boys and girls, men and women so officially we needed to step up and practice what we preached. The only change we needed to do was overhaul our insurance and policies to include everyone, other than that nothing has changed, we shall continue to do what we do <3 .
