Tallaght Hospital was established in June 1998 following the merging of three separate hospitals; the Adelaide Hospital, the Meath Hospital and the National Children’s Hospital. These relocated to a new site in Tallaght in August 1999.
The Hospital provides a wide range of services across the Medical, Surgical, Paediatric and Diagnostic spectrum. It is also the regional centre for Orthopaedics, Urology and Renal Medicine/Dialysis and has expertise in the management of Complex Orthopaedic Conditions, Pancreatic Disease Urology and Paediatric Endocrinology and growth problems in children.
