Tthe Southern Kingdom College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded by Alan Sheehy, a practitioner of TCM since 1996. Alan is qualified in the modaities of Acupuncture, Dietary Therapy, full Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine,and Medical Qi Gong. The college teaches Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Applicants need not have a medical background as part of the course involves an indepth Western medicine Module taught by a Western medicine educator. Applicants must demonstrate a capability to undertake a seriious course of study in order to be accepted. The course is a three year part time course. The first and second year consists of theoretical and practical study as well as Qi Gong study. On the third year the students transfer to the clinic where they will put their knowledge into practice under the supervision of a clinical supervisor. The faculty consists of a group of fully qualified practitioner of TCM of many years experience and who are experienced lecturers in their own right.
