Sligo CIL provides services for people with disabilities in Sligo Town and County Sligo.

Personal Assistant Service (PAS)
Our Personal Assistant (PA) provides all aspects of non-clinical support to people with disabilities. These support needs vary from person to person and as a result have the ability to evolve, change and assist the individual to lead an independent life where and when support is most needed. This is a unique person-centered PAS – Individuals are free to be self-directing the service they receive. That approach to the service is a part of promoting Equality and Empowerment for people with disabilities.


These supports include:

* Provision of an alternative service to facilitate where independence at ones home and within the local community is the desire of the individual;
* Assistance with preparation for work;
* Assistance with housekeeping duties, shopping and sociable outings;
* Assistance with general appointments associated with the disability where our PA will drive you in your vehicle, the PA’s personal vehicle or public transport may be used;
*We also offer a service to assist Individuals to holiday; PA’s are fully insured by our insurance company and will accompany the individual to their holiday location choice;
* Provision of an intimate care service - we offer support to persons who require intimate assistance with personal hygiene and all aspects of personal care tasks;
*Over Night Stay Service – offers Individuals support with preparation for going to bed and getting up to start a new day, along with providing our Leader and family member’s valuable peace of mind knowing that throughout the night there is someone present to assist should and as the needs of the individual arise;
* Live in Service – offers individuals support with day-to-day duties and activities, along with providing our Leader and family member’s valuable peace of mind knowing that throughout the day there is someone present to assist should and as the needs of the individual arise.
