Welcome to my Facebook page and to the world of sound therapy. My name is Michelle Harton and I am a sound therapist and spiritual healer. My journey into sound therapy or sound healing as it's also called, started with my love of music leading me to get a BA in Music Industry Management and Live Production. I had always been fascinated by what made people like a certain kind of music and by what it had to be doing to our brains so when it came to doing my thesis in 2004 I wrote it on 'The Effects Of Music On The Brain And Can Music Be Used As A Substitute Drug?' At the time I found it difficult to find information about sound therapy and what I did find blew my mind and I couldn't believe more people didn't know about how sound could be used for healing all kinds of physical and emotional healing. As the years went on I grew ever more interested in complementary therapies and in spirituality and took various courses but none to do with sound and I always wondered why I had bothered to my degree. I really wanted to learn about healing especially for animals as I have a great love for animals and spent the last 8 years volunteering with my local animal rescue Cavan SPCA. So I did workshops with Lyn Furlong in Animal Communication in Trim and a diploma in professional animal healing with Elizabeth Whiter in the UK which also trained me to heal people and became a member of Elizabeth's Animal Healing Organisation which does amazing work all over the world. The course was a great benefit to me and opened me up to a whole new spiritual and holistic world but I still felt I was missing something. Then one day I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a Sound Bath in Dublin and I felt so drawn to it. As I experienced my first sound bath I suddenly knew why I researched sound so many years before. As the sound bath finished, Marta Lyszkiewicz-Toropow who had conducted the bath said she was running courses if anyone would like to learn. Without hesitation I told her I wanted to learn and since then I trained with Marta who has taught me the Peter Hess methods of sound therapy along with her own personally developed methods. Along with my spiritual healing training it combined wonderfully with the sound healing and I felt I had found the piece I was missing. Although all healing goes where it's needed for the greatest good to a person, I find the relaxation induced state that people enter into quite quickly with the Tibetan singing bowls, gong and other instruments allows my clients to be more open to receiving and benefiting from the spiritual healing sent to them during a treatment. I use beautiful hand crafted Peter Hess Therapy singing bowls because of their unbelievable tested frequency and vibration, a gong with a variety of mallets, different rattles, Zephir chimes, tingsha bells and I have been steadily increasing my sound therapy instrument collection like an uncontrollable shopaholic every since!

THE SOUND BATH EXPERIENCE
The sound bath is a deep relaxing meditative experience usually lasting 1 hour transporting you on a musical journey. Participants lie on the floor resting on pillows and snuggled in blankets for 1 hour of uninterrupted personal time. The instruments that are being played live in the room, Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, rain stick, rattles and others have a vibration that works through your body like a stone rippling through water and causes deep relaxation and helps with healing physical and emotional issues, stress release and for improved sleep. On a spiritual level it can also help greatly with allowing you to receive answers to questions you may have, for clarity and for connecting with your greater self.

SOUND BATH NEWBIE?
HERE'S A FEW TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST TIME:
If you are coming to a sound bath you are asked to bring your own pillow and blankets for under and over you as you will be lying on a floor and some people may feel a little colder as their body relaxes. You may also like to bring a duvet or yoga mat to make your sound bath as comfy as possible. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes.

PRIVATE SOUND BATH GROUPS
If you would like to have a private sound bath for just you and your friends or your valued employees, or feel it would be a welcomed addition to your festival or event, I can conduct them a location of your choice such as your home, workplace or find a location for you. Prices are based on location and numbers but are very affordable, please contact me on 087-2210997, on Facebook or by email; michelleharton@yahoo.co.uk and I would happy to give you a price.

TIBETAN BOWL SOUND MASSAGE SESSIONS
What happens during a sound healing massage you may rightly ask?
During the session, beautifully crafted metal therapy Tibetan Sound Bowls are placed on your fully clothed body. I then tab on the bowls following a specific rhythm. As the bowls vibrate, they send waves of vibration throughout your body harmonising cells. The beautiful sound produced by the Tibetan Bowls also has a relaxing hypnotic effect on the brain, slowing brain waves and inducing a deep meditative state. Other instruments such as a gong, chimes, rattles are used to induce an even deeper state of relaxation. Spiritual healing will also be directed to you during the session.

Benefits of Tibetan Bowl Sound Massage:
-Stress reduction through deep relaxation.
-Liberates emotional traumas.
-Alleviates anxiety in patients receiving radiation therapy and other cancer treatments.
-Activates self-healing mechanisms within the body.
-Promotes deeper sleep.
-Relief from headache, fatigue, insomnia, digestive disorders, joint or muscle aches, back pain, menstrual disorders, emotional imbalances.
-Positive influence on self-confidence, creativity and productive energy.

ABOUT SOUND HEALING
Healing with the Power of Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of healing known to man. The most basic element of the human being is the cell. The simplest way of communicating with the cells is through vibration. External vibrations cause a sympathetic resonance in the cells. When tapping a singing bowl placed on the body which consists of more than 70% of water, the sound transmitted causes the cell to resonate. The sound waves spread, as the ripples from a stone dropped in a pond, into larger and larger circles through blood, flesh, organs and even bones, relaxing them and at the same harmonising and energising them. In this way the more than 100 trillion cells that are the building blocks of the human body receive a gentle cell massage.
Any sound affects the nervous system which in turn affects every cell in the body. The bowl vibrations are soothing enough to calm the nervous system yet powerful enough to travel deep into the body to penetrate the bones. Vibrations can travel into places you could never touch with your hands, to effect a healing that would be very difficult to achieve otherwise.
