Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon 3.88

Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon is a shining light on the Irish triathlon calendar and attracts entries from all over Ireland, the UK, France and beyond. The combination of top quality elite athletes, a stunning location, challenging course and a family-friendly festival environment is truly a winner. It is a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event and the Sprint distance is the first of the Triathlon Ireland Super Series races in 2017.
8 different triathlons mean there is an option for everyone, whatever your fitness level or age. The longest race is the half iron or middle-distance Gauntlet which is a tough challenge. The swim is in the Castle lake, the 90k cycle is around the spectacular lunar landscape of The Burren, and the run stays within the Castle grounds.
The four other adult races are the Lough Cutra (Olympic or Standard distance), The Prendergast (Sprint Plus), The Viscount Gough (Super Sprint) and the Starter Sprint for first timers.
The three childrens races are the Teal (13-15), the Cormorant (11-12) and The Widgeon (8-10). All elements of the children's triathlons stay safely within the Castle estate.
All races finish right in front of the fairytale castle. On the lawns nearby are the stands (Amphibian King West, DIY Pursuits etc), music, dancing and free kiddie entertainment (climbing wall, bouncy castles etc.).
