Kildare Steiner School 3.04

Our Kindergarten is broadly equivalent to a combined preschool, Junior Infants and Senior Infants class, with a mix of ages and a strong emphasis on play-based activities. Formal learning starts in our primary school in Class 1 (age 6) and continues up to Class 6 (age 12), with equal emphasis given to fostering a child’s intellectual, emotional and spiritual development – the ‘head, hands and heart’ approach. As an independent school, we are free to fully implement the Steiner Waldorf curriculum and give priority to Steiner training and experience when hiring teachers. We also run a twice-weekly Parent & Child group for children up to 3 years of age.
