Joyce Murray is an artisit specializing in oil painting. Having studied commercial design and advertising she first began painting as a hobby. Self taught as an oil painter she developed a style that reflects a strong emphasis on colour and contrast. As an instructor she covers a broad subject matter range from portraiture to sescapes to more contemporary pieces. She uses many different techniques from traditional Flemish layering to palette knife and impasto work, making use of texture in many of her contemporary paintings.

Classes are taught at beginner, intermediate and more advanced level depending on your need and take place in a spacious studio with a maximum of twele per group. Classes are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Term is ten weeks, price €130 per term.
