Dublin 4 Historic 1916 Walking Tours 2.11

Dublin 4 was the location of many serious incidents during the Easter 1916 Rising, the War of Independence, and the Civil War.

D4 Historic Walking Tours visits strategic locations in the Dublin 4 area where Irish rebels made a courageous bid for freedom from British Imperial Rule. The tour visits the scene of one of the fiercest battles of the Rising where the British army sustained heavy losses at the hands of a small number of rebels.

Enjoy a leisurely guided walk of the rebel locations and listen to the political background leading up to, and following, the Easter Rising of 1916.

Information folders are provided for the duration of the tour, and Local Tram History of the period is explored also.

This tour provides a chance for you to avail of a local guide's knowledge of the Dublin 4 area, with regard to what is on and where to go.

Where? Meet at the grass verge beside the Beggar's Bush Pub on Haddington Road, Dublin 4.
