Canine aqua and Hydrotherapy is water based physiotherapy concerned with identifying the animals needs and using specifically designed therapeutic skills and modalities to aid in the restoration, maintenance and quality of function of an animal with acute, transient or chronic disabilities, syndromes or disease. It can also be used to improve endurance and stamina and psychological well being of the healthy dog.
Canine aqua and hydrotherapy can be used as part of the rehabilitation program designed to facilitate the progress of recovery from injury, illness, or disease to as normal a condition as possible.
