Cloghan Lodge Estate on the River Finn is simply one of Ireland's very best salmon fisheries and enjoys an excellent annual run of spring salmon, grilse and sea trout, in addition to resident brown trout. The fishery comprises some 130 km in total of double-bank fishing, stretching throughout the rivers Finn, Reelan, Cummirk, Cronnamuck, Stranagoppage, Eltagh and others. The catchment area is some 150 sq.km . There are also over twenty Loughs including Loughs Finn, Muck, Nambradden and Shrivnagh.

Our Fishing: We offer guided fishing only. Our guides are experienced anglers who have all of the necessary training and knowledge to fish these formidable waters. In accordance with water and weather conditions at the time of your visit, our guide will bring you to a location that gives you the very best chance of catching fish. For safety and enjoyment, a maximum of two anglers may share a guide. The guide service is comprehensive and includes local transport (pick up and drop off at your accommodation), tackle, guiding, and angling lesson if required. Our all-in price includes guide and permit to fish.

A Loughs Agency rod angling licence can also be arranged if you don't already have one - this is inexpensive and will be waiting for you on your arrival (at face cost) if you so request. Additional services such as airport meet & greet can be arranged (at additional cost).

The fishery is divided into the following rod sections:

Beat 1 - (Annick) - 2.5 miles - Tues / Thurs / Sat - 3 rods
Beat 2 - (Ivy Bridge) - 1.5 miles - Mon / Wed / Fri - 3 rods

Upper Reaches: (Exclusive to Cloghan Estate) - 4 miles - 1 to 8 rods
Upper Reaches: (Shared between Cloghan and Glenmore Estates) - 20 miles

Lower Reaches: (Shared between Cloghan and Glenmore Estates) - 4 miles

Season for Trout & Salmon: March 1st until September 15th.
Spring salmon run March to end of June. Grilse run from May on.
