Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness. It has become the fastest growing water sport in the world, thanks mainly to the media exposure watermen like Laird Hamilton and celebrities like Cameron Diaz have gained. Experience it yourself while taking in the breathtaking scenery Clew Bay has to offer. We offer a variety of sessions to cater for Beginners, Improvers and Experienced Paddlers.
Clew Bay offers breathtaking scenery aswell as safe and sheltered locations with its 365 islands, numerous beaches and sheltered inlets, not to mention an abundance of wildlife. Newport Harbour is a perfect location for beginners. The sheltered flatwater of the Black Oak River makes it easy for beginners to learn the basic skills of SUP. Take in a paddle under the Seven Arch Bridge or out to the rivers estuary. Mulranny is ideal for making the transition from flatwater to Exposed water aswell as taking in some surfing. Bertra beach like Mulranny offers both sheltered areas, exposed areas and the option to surf.
