Castletown House is one of the finest 18th century Palladian style mansions in Ireland and in recent years it has undergone major restoration work. The Castletown Estate is now open to the public under the care of The Office Of Public Works and is open for you to come enjoy and explore one of the most interesting periods in Irish history.

The beautiful 18th century parklands, the magnificent collections and history of the house, alongside the delicious menu of the restaurant ensure that Castletown can be enjoyed by young and old alike.

We hope to continue welcoming new visitors to Castletown, not only so as people can learn about a fascinating time in Irish history but we hope Castletown will become a venue for people to come and meet with friends for a walk of the parklands or lunch at the Courtyard Café, where you can sit back and enjoy the free music recitals on Sunday afternoons during the Summer and purchase local grown produce at our monthly Summer Country Markets & Craft Fairs.

Children will be delighted to dress up in period costumes and take part in our FREE seasonal Children's Tours, nature trails and weekly children’s workshops. There are many more events and exhibitions which take place throughout the year at Castletown so please refer to www.castletown.ie or become a fan on facebook to keep up to date with all our news and events.

We hope to see you with your family and friends at Castletown soon.
