Brainiacs 2.04

The course consists of 6 x 1.5 hour classes.
The course starts on 20 April 2016.
This course aims to ignite childrens interest/passion for all things mathsy.
This course goes beyond what your child will be exposed to in school with an emphasis on

1 - develop a true understanding of mathematical concepts
2 - problem solving
3 - creativity
4 - teamwork
5 - independent information discovery

Lesson 1 - Intro to WWW. Upload webpages to .com of your choice. FTP, html,javascript,dos prompt

Lesson 2 - Encryption. Basic cyphers. Encrypt by hand, then by coding. Decryption methods.

Lesson 3 - Binary. Why/how its used. Convert numbers to/from binary. Create code to do same.

Lesson 4 - 6 - Game development. Involves trigonometry, geometry, vectors, forces,radians

Course is given by Charlie who has

1 - over 20 years experience in technology/software/IT.
2 - degree in mathematics from Trinity College Dublin.
3 - 3 years voluntary experience teaching coding to school age children.
